Are there any hemihypertrophy flags?
I don't know any.
🌻 !! :3
!! Aajdndb random thing! I have hemihyperplasia, so the entire right side of my body grows significantly faster than the left lol
And now we begin the game of being bounced from one doctor to the next..
Honestly I don't know what it feels like. I have been in chronic pain probably since before I can remember, as my disease is congenital and I've been dealing with it my entire life. Most days there is a dull unceasing pain and pressure from my mid-back thru my lower back and harsh dull grating pain in my ankles, knees, & hips. But on the worst days it's sharp and stabbing and I cannot move my body below my shoulders (if I'm lucky) without wanting to cry.

Please never judge anyone based on what they are going through or the pain they deal with daily. You never know what someone actually feels on a daily basis. Everyone is different and even when it comes to dealing with similar issues, people can be feeling things differently.
All I know is, every single day, I wake up in pain. I almost never complain about it or tell anyone, because I don't want sympathy. I know there are others dealing with depression and anxiety that probably feel worse than me every day, but that shouldn't take away from how I feel.
I literally (and I use that correctly) cant hold my child while standing for more than 10-20 mins. My back hurts every. single. day. Its definitely not easy, I feel like I am elderly. On top of that, I only have one kidney. If something goes wrong for me, I could die, because I have a rare blood type and no one that I am close with can even donate to me.
I am lucky that I cant pass this to my children, because for me, It is not genetic. I still deal with it every day though.
I just wish that people could be nicer to each other. Especially when you don't actually know what that person deals with.
Well, I worked up a lot of courage to post these pictures. I mean, it IS hemihypertrophy awareness month, so i thought, why not? I’m beginning to accept my body for how it is and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Not expecting this to get many notes, it was just something I felt would help my boost my confidence :^)
