Did anyone else burst out laughing when Poseidon essentially yeeted his son off Olympus when the conversation was getting too emotional? Like dude. Y’all were having a moment. What kind of good bye was that. Sir.

I love the clarification that Luke’s pitch is actually pretty good, pretty convincing…until the mortals are considered. In the end, the reason Percy doesn’t join Luke isn’t because he wants to save the Olympians or “western civilization” or any of that, it’s because he’s too in touch with Sally and his mortal side to be okay with letting the mortal world die. It’s isn’t about the gods. It’s about humanity. It’s all because of Sally.

My initial reaction to Gabe turning into a statue via Medusa’s head was disappointment that Sally didn’t girlboss him into a statue, but in second thought, it is immensely satisfying that his own horrible tendencies (i.e. snooping in other people’s business like Sally’s calls and then Percy’s package) directly brought on his own downfall. He had no one to blame but himself. That’s what I call poetic justice
