The following telegram had been sent to Indonesia by Bennett Gordon, as sources in the telegraph office had released.
To the Dutch,
I, Henry Gordon Bennett, would like to humbly request for certain amounts of food(rice), as much as you are willing to provide as well as βatabrineβ, the anti-malaria medication also known as Mepacrine and Quinacrine to be sent over via ship or air. I hope that our good relations based on me Australian-Dutch defence cooperation in 1940/1941. [sic.]
