shipping helly and helena isn't enough i need to eat them up
love enough to drown it out (hellyna severance fanfic)
word count: 1332
rating: mature
summary: The first time Helly dreamed, she dreamt about Helena. The first time Helena dreamt about Helly, she didn't get a moment's restful sleep.
.
The first time Helly dreamed, she’d been feeling her body shutting down on her all day.
Mark told her it happened sometimes, if their outies had an especially unrestful night before waking up for work (and Dylan cracked a joke about why the outies sometimes didn't get any sleep). It had happened when her coworkers were off getting something to eat from the vending machines, and Helly was left all alone with only the many numbers on the screen and the collective humming of the computers. As she moved the mouse over the symbols, her eyelids felt heavy on her face for every minute she did not tense up in fear.
Without even noticing, her head lulled down onto the desk, resting on her arms, and she drifted off.

must be lonely loving someone (helly/helena soulmate au)
Day 1 of sapphic severance week: soulmate au
Word count: 1610
Summary: every eagan is promised a soulmate. it's finally helena's turn.
The Eagan family history contained many myths and promises. Helena had to listen to these throughout her entire childhood, until they were drilled into her, like so many other things.
One of these went back far in time — the promise of a soulmate.
At some point in their life, every Eagan was told who their destined person was, the one who belonged to them. Helena didn't know her name, but the news came from a woman with blonde hair, who would show up on their doorstep as soon as she got the vision. After letting her past their doorstep, the Eagan in question would be brought into an empty room, and then come out with the knowledge they had been waiting so patiently for.
Helena wasn’t one to be patient.

in the mirror i get weak (helly/helena fanfic)
Day 2 of sapphic severance week, prompt: loyalty
Word count: 2013
Rating: E
Summary:
Dozens upon dozens of mirrors plastered across the walls, leaving no space of wallpaper visible. The mirrors were capturing her from every angle, no matter where she looked. It was like she was being watched, eyes boring into her neck wherever she turned, despite being the only person in the room.
Being watched by Helena.
At first, it made her worried — that only she and Dylan had shown up for work that day. Then, it made her mad. There had been a nosebleed, and it would make sense to take a day of work, sure, but with all the weird shit that had been going on lately, Helly was sure there was more to the story.
There was also the fact that Dylan wasn't even in the room. He had just half-heartedly tapped at some numbers at his desk and then skedaddled to who knows where he spent his time nowadays.
It was probably gross.
Helly spun around a few times in her chair, sighing every once in a while.
It was so unfair that she of all people was holding the fort down, being the least likely one to sing Kier praises. Why couldn’t she be off somewhere, doing something gross.

peace offerings and thorns (hellyna severance fanfic)
word count: 2093
rating: general audiences
summary: Helena has a message to give to Helly, and it's not as bad as she expected.
At 10:04, when they had barely gotten a few minutes of work done, staggering and all considered, Milchick came into the room.
Everyone tensed up upon his arrival, because usually, it didn’t bode well. Today, however, he seemed relaxed. Not the kind of eerie chill he sometimes had, but actual, genuine light-heartedness. Helly, Mark, and Dylan all mellowed out a bit, but all looked at him, expecting anything.
“Helly R,” he started. So she was the chosen one. “As a component of our project to make innies feel more comfortable and at home in their workplace, we have arranged an extravagant surprise for you.”
