[ lean ] — sender leans against receiver in a state of exhaustion (from Robin)
Steve glanced over at his best friend in concern as she leaned against him while they were at work, raising an eyebrow over at her. She had learned to be more vulnerable when Steve and her were alone, and had known that she never had to hide her feelings from him, but a public place like Family Video still caught him off-guard. He figured he was so used to her sarcastic attitude and feigned confidence of their Scoops Ahoy days, so he knew something had to be particularly bad for her to risk looking exhausted in public.
"Need to talk about it?" No asking what was wrong, no asking if she was okay, because he already knew both of those answers. He looked around the video store, noticing there were only two customers currently, and they both seemed pretty pre-occupied with finding the movies they were most likely going to watch that night. He looked over his shoulder, finding Keith rewinding returned movies.
"Keith, we're taking our break early!" Steve shouted, Keith about to open his mouth to protest, but he was already pulling Robin back into the break room, and locking the door for good measure. Keith wouldn't be able to leave the floor anyways, now being the only employee out there. Steve instinctively moved towards her, pulling his best friend into a tight hug, face burying into her hair. "Is it nightmares again? You look drained, Rob. Maybe you should go home early for the day."
