if you follow my blog you probably know that I am a really enthusiastic, happy and positive person but today I want to talk about something completely different.
I already posted a post about how to overcome anxiety but I just feel like a lot of people still don't feel understood and are still struggling with their disorders and school (yes those two can go hand in hand very well, sadly)
Anyway, this post is going to be a shoutout to all the brave people struggling with disorders, sleepless nights, studying and other things that are most likely 'not relevant' for others.
A lot of people tempt to say that if you've never experienced a disorder you can't help people and at some point this is true for sure but if you have a mind and more important a heart you ARE able to and this is what I'm trying here:
(because I experience anxiety and school problems myself im going to point those two out in that post)
I have a really big problem with social anxiety, I get nervous and completely puzzled when in public by my own with strangers - and hey this is nothing to be ashamed off but what I want to say is that I am working on it every single day! And with working I mean challenging my boundaries.
If you have a social anxiety and you want to do something against it here is what I'm doing at the moment:
1. Go out with people you know and feel comfortable around more often
2. Start to ask out people you are not 100% comfortable with but maybe 95%
3. If you feel strong enough meet up with a person and others you don't know
If you need more steps thats super fine but those 3 should be the ones you should check every now and then (it took me a lot of time to get over part 3 but I enjoyed it every time!!)
Next thing I like to talk about is school:
As a part of the studyblr-community I feel like I HAVE to talk about that and I really want to as well
I see a lot of people working their ass off to get good grades, reasons for that are totally different from person to person and this is totally fine but one thing I've also experienced over here is that a lot of people forget about themselves, their free time and their right to enjoy life and to not work like a machine 24/7.
However, this is a thing I thought about a lot (as a psychology major) and I came to the conclusion that this shouldn't be a thing. Sadly its not as simple to make it work as it is to write it down - and for that I wanted to start this little thing: if you read this write a post every Sunday about your week : your achievements (just to remind yourself of it) and your self-care treats.
Tag your post with : #helloselfcareÂ
Im going to read all of them (because yes, I'm struggling with that as well) and hopefully we can make a big change : Work BUTE take care of your health and well being
And if you still feel like you need someone to talk come over and message me (im really bad at answering super quick but I give my best)
--> To sump up : If you have a disorder and/or problems with school, studying and other obligations don't give up never ever ! And most important don't force yourself to be someone you aren't - appreciate yourself and enjoy your life (you only have one)
And if you made it to that point : thank you, thank you so much may you have a wonderful and blessed life <3
