hey, i accidentally got into some nb/wlw discourse, and i really respect your opinions, so I'm gonna ask you (feel free to just delete this if you don't have the energy or whatever). ----what do you think of ppl callin themselves as wlw identites but rejecting any association with femaleness? (eh non-aligned NBs saying they're sapphic)
there‘s a difference between non-aligned bi people and non-aligned lesbians
lesbians whose only connection to womanhood is their love for women and women only are far from a new thing and by the virtue of being lesbians, they fall under the wlw umbrella. lesbians inherently have ties to womanhood, whether they’re binary women, fem or non-aligned
meanwhile non-aligned bi people dont have the same connotations of being connected to womanhood in any way. i’d say it’s fine to call themselves sapphic if they’re only attracted to non-aligned nb people and women, but if they’re also attracted to men (which includes male aligned nb people obviously), then they could just as easily claim that they’re mlm. and i’ve been over why you can’t be a mlm and a wlw at the same time
