“obviously.” his voice is stern and serious ; a sharp contrast to his small form staring up at girl. shoulders rigid, fists balled at his side. he is doing his best to seem as imposing as possible in a body so outrageously non-threatening.

“you aren’t a human.” his head tilts to the side, studying her not unlike a cat whose curiosity has been piqued. “well. not completely.” what did abaddon expect to gain from this conversation ? a clean, easy ticket back to hell ? would he even take it if it was offered ? he can’t consider that at the moment ; too many variables. too much he’s unwilling to wrestle with, currently. so, perhaps it was just that : a statement. an observation. but, in a way, perhaps it was his attempt at reaching out. besides — she was … different. unlike any demon he has known before, and he has known plenty.

   smoke in three days and now i feel
