Crimson Taste || Silas and Louis
Silas wasn't a naturally suspicious man.
His days weren't spent looking over his shoulder, honeyed eyes flicking about for mysterious cloaked beings who hid in the shadows, he didn't ever stop to look twice when someone was following him for a suspiciously long time, and there had never been a situation where he simply stopped and thought that maybe, just maybe, someone might be stalking him.
Well, there hadn't been until today. For the last month or so, the brunet had felt as if someone was hovering over his shoulder, constantly watching and lingering after him. When he turned to look, no one was ever there -- he imagined whoever it was was far too careful to trap themselves in a situation where they'd be found out without a place to hide. Or they were just playing some sort of game with him... either way, he'd brushed it off at first, making it out to be nothing but nerves. As far as the leveled part of him was concerned he was being irrational and nothing more.
Today that side was losing, and it seemed a paranoid faction was taking control. "Shit, man... I must be going crazy." Lifting the collar of his shirt, Silas straightened it out and let a wary eye sweep over the street, a frown coming to his face. It was broad daylight and, as was expected, the footpath was jammed full of people. One of whom he suspected was watching him a bit too closely for his liking.
