#hellboy headcanon

I’m usually more of a lurker than a headcanon machine, but Hellboy deserves all the love, so I'm gonna try my hardest! Here’s a little list of what I’ve got so far:

Hellboy secretly keeps a small jar of cat treats in his room. Whenever a stray cat wanders onto the base grounds, he sneaks out at night with a handful of treats and sits on the steps talking softly to the cat about his day, like it’s the only one who truly understands him

When he’s alone in motels or safe houses, Hellboy sometimes reads old pulp detective novels and fairy tales out loud in a low voice, partly to stay awake and partly because the simple stories of good triumphing over evil help him believe his own story can end the same way

Hellboy loves westerns because Professor Broom first showed him old cowboy movies when he was still a young boy trying to understand the human world. Broom chose stories about lone heroes who stand up for what’s right even when the odds are against them, hoping these tales would teach Hellboy that he could always choose to be a good man no matter where he came from (In Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Her Fatal Hour one-shot, on the wall in Hellboy’s room you can clearly see a poster of the film “High Noon” starring Gary Cooper, which confirms his deep love for westerns)

He never admits it out loud, but Hellboy keeps a small collection of “souvenirs” from missions that didn’t end in apocalypse a bent bullet, a broken rosary, a child’s drawing as proof to himself that his existence on Earth has saved more than it has destroyed

When the B.P.R.D. base is quiet, Hellboy likes to sit in the common room in his socks, eating cold pizza straight from the box and watching old westerns on a small TV. He always invites Abe to join him, even though Abe usually just reads a book nearby and occasionally comments on the unrealistic horse riding

When no one is looking, Hellboy practices quick-draw moves in front of the mirror while wearing his coat like a gunslinger, muttering lines from “High Noon” or “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” He always feels a little embarrassed if someone catches him, but keeps doing it anyway

Hellboy has a soft spot for warm socks. He owns several pairs with silly patterns (cacti, cowboys, horses) that he wears around the base when his boots are off. He claims they’re “tactical comfort items” and gets genuinely annoyed when someone teases him about them

Every morning Hellboy makes himself a huge mug of black coffee with way too much sugar, then stands in front of the “High Noon” movie poster on his wall, raises the mug like a toast and says in a low voice: “This town ain’t big enough for the both of us… but I’ll try anyway.” It’s his little daily ritual before heading out

Whenever agents bring their kids to the base, Hellboy is terrified of scaring them, but the kids love him. He ends up letting them draw on his stone hand with washable markers, and he refuses to wash it off until the next mission

When he thinks no one is listening, Hellboy is an incredible whistler. He whistles Ennio Morricone themes from his favorite westerns while wandering the dark corridors of the B.P.R.D. at 3 AM. New agents often think the base is haunted by a lonely ghost

Red has a single, half-dead cactus in his room that he’s named "Stubby." He feels a kinship with it because it’s prickly, hard to kill, and looks slightly out of place in an office. He talks to it while he cleans his gun

Hey um... I know I havent been uploading and I just want to apologize. I've been gone for about.... man I dont even know frickin months I know that but again I'm sorry I'm trying to get back into writing maybe you guys can offer some ideas? I'll leave a list of what I'll write for and you give me ideas!

Hellboy x reader -

Are in a relationship but still have their own rooms not far from eachother. Reader comes home from a mission or has worked late in the lab, wont want to disturb Hellboy so she showers & sleeps in her room.

She wakes, to find Hellboy at her bed, in his boxers, has that semi intense stare of his, as he looks at her, which could make her or break her.

Even though he is flattered by her consideration for him, he wonders why she still does this, as he has told her that he does not care about being awoken by her. To be honest, he hates when she does this, as he doesn’t like waking up without her, not knowing where she is.

He plops himself in her bed, he spoons her, he breaths in her hair. Hellboy still can’t believe how soft she is. She briefly wonders how he got in her room with the door locked, he did slightly startle her. This is the first time he has done this and she’s sought of relived that he did.

They lay in bed. He asks her how she is. His voice is deep, yet quiet & calm, his voice is heaven to her ears.They exchange the happenings of their day, kisses ensue, they fall asleep.

Or when they fight....same sought of situation happens with rooms.

A few times when Hellboy was being unreasonable or he was being grumpy, he can be a bit much, very intense guy, full of emotion. He has been through a lot. Sometimes the fights are her fault...either way she ends up leaving, as they are usually in his room. Either she storms off on her own accord or he will tell her to leave, the latter really breaks her heart, which she barley admits to herself.

Whether or not the fights are his or her fault, Hellboy will end up in her room, at her bed in his boxers, with an intense stare. She is startled. He grabs her, she’s a little on edge. He eats her pussy. Fucking almost ravishes her. It’s fucking intense.
