the knife presses a little deeper into her throat with the question, sure to leave a red mark. it makes reyna grin. or maybe it’s the cold stare from the ( admittedly beautiful ) woman she finds amusing, or the situation she’s managed to land herself in; she should’ve known sneaking onto another’s ship in the dead of night would only bring trouble. it’s not like her to be so careless, usually she’s calculated, cunning. but rumors travel fast and this isn’t the first time reyna’s been the victim of her own curiosity.

of course not, because everything about her screams pirate. from the cutlass at her side, to the gaudy jewelry on her hands and face, to the impressive hat she wears now tilted up slightly because she’s pressed against the side of the wall that supports the quarter deck. reyna had almost made it to the captain’s quarters.

she hopes her casual attitude isn’t enough to get her throat slit because really, this is hardly a bad situation to be in; face to face with one of such strength and allure. reyna has been in much worse.
