some days when i struggle to do my t shots i imagine revolver ocelot using access to my t as a way to psychologically torture me and as a reward for doing whatever he told me to do. conditioning, using it as a carrot and stick. oddly enough it helps.
sometimes i pair the "doing whatever he told me to do" part with a chore or job i was putting off. sometimes i pair it with fun stuff like researching anatomy or psychology or compartment syndrome or prion diseases, the stuff i have to know for my field and that i enjoy learning about. sometimes i pair it with annoying things that i have to do to seem like a functioning member of society, like attending social functions successfully, and it becomes another way to cope with my neurology by pretending to be a spy/cav scout.
also its hot. i will be a man. and i will be made into a useful man.
when i was younger, i really imprinted on the snakes and revolver ocelot. little gay me watched solid snake (and later naked snake) get electrocuted and learned a lot about himself, responsible for my type being evil blonde men. bonus of t making me look like a snake clone.
I love all of this so much - sometimes I call my t shots my "Big Boss serum", like the shit they gave Captain America but it makes me look like BB instead. He's been a very important character to me since I was a teenager in many different respects.
Channeling a favorite character has been a very silly but very effective coping mechanism for navigating difficult situations. If my job has me dying in the heat in the middle of a swamp I'm on Operation Snake Eater. If I'm sparring a guy twice my size I'm fighting Volgin. If I'm struggling in a social setting due to my autism that's just canonical Big Boss behavior. I practically live by that one tumblr post about Naruto getting you to brush your teeth.
