Little Au where Harper is a punisher angel and puts her favorite sinner in his own special little hell. Wrote it in Korean (please forgive my bad handwriting) because @caeperrrrrrr , whom this gift is for, is Korean. This has been floating in my mind for a bit, just felt that it fit. Sadly, this drawing is a collection of hasty strokes, bad decisions, and inexperience. I hope it looks coherent.

Edwin, Monty, and Charles (Canon AU: Assumptions)

And this is what life can be, after the world has passed you by, once death has released you, once there is no one that you have to answer to you but yourself: Edwin grabs Monty’s hand, and Monty laughs as they all take off running, Monty's hand in Charles pulling him along too.

Thanks to the fact that Monty has mastered the mechanics of being a ghost, they will eventually plunge through a mirror right into the office. That’s an inevitability.

But for a moment, the three of them can run down the street in the middle of the night, feeling the wind blow through their bodies.

And it’s not the same as it might have been when they were all alive. It can’t be the same as running around playing cricket, and it certainly isn’t the same as being able to fly and feel the wind beneath your wings.

Edwin can’t really remember much about what it was like being alive, long before hell, long before his own world ended in a basement. He can’t remember what running was like before he was being chased by a spider made of porcelain babydoll heads with a shriek that broke the laws of physics. There are so many memories, so many senses, that are locked behind the decades of hell and its sensory overload smeared so much of his living existence into a thick, heavy paste that glazes any glimpse at his past.

But this? Running through the streets with Charles and Monty? Feeling the breeze flicker through his entire body, passing through him like a ghost?

This is so much better than the decades of hell ever could be.
