It's about them coming home after a long day, knowing you have been crying with anxiety all day, and telling you joke after joke until you're crying from laughter. It's about them coming home that same day and making you dinner because, even though they've been on their feet for thirteen hours, they know you literally can't stand. It's about them waking up just after they've fallen asleep and checking every room because you have anxiety and you swear someone just tried to open the front door. I may not be rich. I may not love my job. But Jesus Christ I swear I couldn't be more fortunate.
