she's schizophrenic and homeless but pretty upbeat about it all. jodi finds fae digging through the garbage cans at her apartment complex one night and is like oh i Have to help this child and takes fae in. fae does not strictly live with jodi (and hedwyn and pam), but often sleeps there and has free access to enter when she so wishes. she shares a room with jodi and sleeps on a cot that will be switched into a real bed when they have more money.

jodi and hedwyn have spoken privately about trying to get fae mental health help but she seems pretty ok with everything and they're worried she'll get committed and they'll lose track of her so they don't push it. jodi and hedwyn worry about her a lot but recognize they can't really force her to do anything so they try to stay mellow, which is much easier for hedwyn.

pam finds fae very amusing and enjoys hanging out with her when jodi and hedwyn are out. sometimes it is a little mean spirited poking fun at her, but fae is pretty unfazed by it and it never goes too far because pam is well aware that fae holds a much larger place in jodi's heart than she does, and that if she made fae cry jodi would kick her ass straight to the curb.

fae has no cell phone bc any time she has one she gives it to someone else if she thinks they need it more. she does that often with her things; if she perceives someone may need something more than her, she gives it to them. this is gotten her into hot water when she starts giving away things like the jacket or shoes she's weaing. jodi's got her to stop giving away her shoes but everything else has proven fruitless.

hedwyn and fae cook together a lot; he's been teaching her and it's been a really fun thing for the both of them. he finds her curious but very endearing. when she talks about the scribes he listens and does not worry about it being real or false but what can be learned from it.

jodi Worries about fae quite a lot. fae's a very vulnerable person and there are a lot of nasty people out there and fae just doesn't have good defenses against that. but she's always quite happy when fae is around because fae has such a positive attitude and out look on things and it helps sand jodi's edges down a bit. jodi's been teaching her how to knit.

almer is also homeless and they're friends but he's kind of stressed out by her. he doesn't really understand how she works and it's a lot. he also has some feelings for her but doesn't want to address those. one time fae invited him to sleep over at jodi's but he thought she meant sex so he got really embarrassed and ran away and still hasn't recovered from it.

when she's not at jodi's one thing fae likes doing is chalk art. like you know the people who do the big intricate public chalk art things? that's what fae does. she has a lot of fun and she likes that other people get to enjoy it too. she doesn't mind that rain will wash it away; she can just draw something else.
