Chaos AU idea:

where hedgehogs were born from the chaos emerald and that's why only hedgehogs have been seen to use chaos. For creatures like the hedgehog who were born of chaos their powers are unique and stem from the chaos in their hearts unlike other mobians who's power stems from the chaos of earth and absorbing it, so other mobians have power from earth while hedgehogs have power from chaos. This is why the hedgehogs get stronger around the emeralds and normal mobians have no reaction, because their chaos is from the earth while hedgehogs power is directly from chaos. Amys power is a special form of chaos called "weapon summon" each hedgehog has a special power only for them plus the normal super power up, and being able to spin dash. Shadows power is "chaos spear" and then sonics power is multiple power ups. Ig for silver he's way in the future so his power would still have chaos but it's intermingled with very down the line descendant hedgehogs so it's not as chaos based but more of a mutation!!! Shadow would be the ultimate life form maybe because he came from sampled DNA from earlier hedgehog mobians.

The thing before was the explanation for how hedgehogs got their power! Now onto how this happened and world building:

To make this work i think there would have been a tribe of hedgehogs and although the echidna are guardians the hedgehogs were born of chaos and can actually harness the power! I think the echidnas can be a mix of earth and chaos because of a freak accident of power leaking from earth and master emerald shard.

So to make this make more sense when the earth was born it was just a bunch of power and rocks and a bunch of other things coming together! And on it's own already formed planet there was the master emerald beginning to form. The two planets used to be in the same orbit and so as the chaos emerald formed beings were being born in the powers still seeping from the recently formed earth. And from there were the mobians born. Now since the emerald was still forming a shard had floated onto earth and had pierced a still forming creature named the echidna! Because the creature was still forming it inherited SOME of the power and that species would later move onto the planet where sonic and friends live now! (I'll explain that part later)

(The shard finding it's way to the echidna was no mistake btw, it chose them) the shard however eventually got back to the emerald. Now a full master emerald was born and it needed more little emeralds to support it's immense power since "the 7 emeralds are the servers. Chaos is power, enriched by the heart-" (now the heart is where the hedgehogs come in) "the controller serves to unify chaos" (hedgehogs also serve the emerald but they are also sworn to protect the world the emerald is found on and that is their main job) so who unifies? The echidnas cuz they are of earth and chaos and are a good balance to help powerful hedgehogs.

So on to how the mobians finally got to their planet! Chaos willed the hedgehogs to retrieve the echidnas and any other species they see fit to live on this planet. (Now by this time earths leaking powers were only enough to make smaller less 'smart' animals so the animals we know today began to form as inferior versions of the mobians. Because of this the hedgehogs chose the species most similar to them and left the less powerful animals alone) and so came to be how species in general have power and why hedgehogs and echidnas specifically show connection to the emeralds

This has many holes in it and i came up with it on the spot! I have no idea what I'm gonna do with this AU but i just wanted to make it since i had it as an idea in my notes for a while and it wasn't even a full concept yet! Well now it's complete and I'll touch it up later.

Inktober ripe, the kids found a nice ripe pumpkin to turn it to a jack-o'-lantern.

I understand that emergencies come up and the pet may need an unexpected surgery. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m saying that if you get an animal you should be able to afford a basic checkup or vet visit for the pet. If you cannot provide that for your pet, you do not need the pet.

I have a friend who “loves” animals and she’s wanted a dog since she moved out on her own. She didn’t have the money for a dog so she was going to get a small pet instead. So she was going to get a bunny. I tried to talk her out of it because I knew she’d get bored of it and I knew she couldn’t afford the basic vet care for it. She wouldn’t get the cage that was the right size because it was “too expensive” and she didn’t “have enough room for a cage that big”. I told her if she doesn’t have the room or the money for a cage that big then she shouldn’t get the bunny. But she got it anyway.

The bunny ended up getting much bigger than she expected, the cage was not big enough like I told her it wouldn’t be. But she was like “oh well it’s fine”. She didn’t feed it right. She didn’t clean the cage right. She’d wait until it was so gross and moldy and disgusting to clean it.

Now, 4 months later she’s decided that she’s getting a dog. She can afford the dog and the supplies for the dog but she cannot afford basic vet care. But she’s still getting the dog anyway. But now she’s getting rid of the bunny because she can’t have both the bunny and the dog. She’s not even selling the bunny, she’s just giving it away.

If you cannot afford to take an animal to the vet for regular checkups, you do not need to get the pet.

If you are going to get bored of the pet in a few months and get rid of it, you do not need to get the pet.

If you cannot take the time out of your day to PROPERLY clean the cage or living area of the animal, you do not need to get the pet.

Do not get a pet unless you are prepared for regular checkups, the supplies, the time it takes to clean their area, and the attention they require.
