Do you like textured art? I have a very small collection of five special works that I started at the beginning of the pandemic. As I created piece after piece over the course of the past year and half plus, I would wipe the excess paint on my palette knife on these five pieces. Containing the elements of over a hundred stories within them, each of these five pieces is a map or history of sorts documenting my journey through this difficult period. 

I love creating work that is simple in its complexities, pieces that allow the paintings to have a voice. Painting is, after all, a relationship of balances, of give and take. Here's a closer look at the details of "The Last First Breath."
