Eir
(Healer of the Gods)
āAn enigmatic figure within the Norse mythos. She was either a goddess and/or a valkyrie, and associated with medical skill.
Baldr is light,
The golden glow of a star
He is the warmth within your chest
He is the beauty of a sunrise.
Baldr is a tender smile
Locks fair in the wind
He is open arms and a welcome embrace
Voice light as a birdās breath.
Baldr the beloved, the bleeding God
Bringer of peace as well as bliss
He shows mercy and love
To all who lose their way.
Baldr shields and comforts
He is the stillness of dawn
For all throughout the night
The flicker of a candle remains;
There lies Baldr.
I know of the horn | of Heimdall, hidden
Under the high-reaching | holy tree;
On it there pours | from Valfather's pledge
A mighty stream: | would you know yet more?
- VƶluspƔ, stanza 27
Veit hon Heimdallar hljóð um fólgit undir heiðvönum helgum baðmi; Ô sér hon ausask aurgum forsi af veði Valföðrs. Vituð ér enn eða hvat?

What does Asatru mean to me personally?
What does Asatru mean to meĀ personally?
My wife, Jen, and I were having a conversation the other day on what kind of article I should write for my blog. During our conversation she asked me āWhat does it mean to be Asatru?ā This is an interesting question coming from her as she is Wiccan and is wanting to learn more about my path.
I gave her the standard answers:
We honor multiple gods and goddesses
We are a pagan religion

Iāve been thinking on faith and such lately. And what is my actual faith? Iām not entirely sure. Today when I was empty a voice came to me, and reminded me that my craft is whats important. Thatās my magic.
Iām not sure what else to say about the matter though. Like I know that people have said they see the magic in me as I knit, and especially as I spin. But I feel so disconnected from everything spiritual. I know magic and faith arenāt always connected, but for me I feel like they should be. I want to talk to other heathens but I donāt know what to talk about..
