The younger female coatl is rather briliant. Her ideas on cavern expansion are illuminating, and her calculations for digging them out are remarkable. She is a rather striking dragon herself, with feathers like the trees of my home and eyes as blue as a cloudless sky. In the first few days, she was rather introverted, had yet to show her true colors. It seemed the moment I showed any attention to her, she jumped on it. Now I loathe to ask her to stop talking, as she spouts words like a fountain of creativity and knowledge.

I'm worried she may think she is inadequate, and that she tries making up for that with words. I have found that a simple compliment will silence her for as long as 5 whole minutes. She is quiet adorable, like that.

When I asked her for her name, she had nothing to give. She apologized profusely for it, explaining that her birth clan would give a name after one proved themselves. She had been sent away before that could happen. I asked her what she would like to be called. She asked me if I would give her a name. It seemed important to her that I be the one to give her a name.

Eternity insists I do not need to take notes, as she reminds me that she sees all that has happened or will happen. I feel that she may have ulterior motives. I trust Julian in his trust in Eternity, but I would like a record for myself, written without her riddles.

Chadwick reports an over supply of food, but warns we much expand outward as we grow. I believe he and Lelli are preparing for hatchlings, and with Vesper and Artemis on a nest and our scholars new laid, we will soon need the room
