Any other HoH or hearing aid wearers have dry ears/sore spots in your ears?
Doc told me to try miracell but nothing seems to be helping.

Story #285
I remember why I avoid crowds
Had to cut my walk around an unfamiliar neighborhood short because one of my hearing aid batteries died.
I had turned my hearing aids all the way down because of a fire truck (srsly you do not want those amplified), and then the hearing aid with the "volume up" button died. D:
Being in a crowded and unfamiliar neighborhood with only my baseline hearing is nervewracking af! Still got 20 minutes of walking in, though.
Okay tbh getting used to having a hearing aid is hella weird??? Im trying but jeez its annoying to adjust it. Ive had it for almost a week now and im still not quite used to it.Â
PSA, never clamp your hand over your ear if you have a Behind The Ear hearing aid, there will be feedback that rivals in pitch to a screeching Eldritch horror from the depths of the ocean. And it will hurt
I think I'm gonna order some "unicorn wraps" for my wires because they're kinda annoying and leave red lines on my ears.

Me @ my university
Me: hey so you know how your still having some face2face classes. Well im Hard of hearing and cant really do online xlasses. Maybe you could put me in the face2face classes
Uni: NO, all online synchronous classes (aka: live video lectures)
Me: okay well what accommodations are you giving mw to help me with these classes given that I wont be able to hear or follow along in a vido lecture format
Uni: No new accommodations
Me: well school starts in less than 2 weeks. Can you tell professors to post their syllabuses to I can get ahead that way I wont be lost or left behind
Uni: 0% of professors have posted syllabuses
Me: can you ATLEAST tell me who my professors are so i can email them and discuss accommodations since the office for disabilities isnt helping
Uni: NO, the new website is inaccessible so it makes it to where you can see your classes but not your professors
Me: Are you going to do anything to help your disabled students who will struggle with a sudden switch to online learning. Anything at all?
Uni: NOPE
RANT WARNING
So my parents heated up soemthing for lunch and i was in my room listening to music/not wearing my hearing aids. They supposedly called my name to tell me lunch was done (which i did not know they were making) but i didnt hear them (ya know because of the whole being deaf thing) so they just left me in my room without linch until i went out to get eater and they were like "well we called your name". If this was a one time thing i would let it slide But this has happened multiple times with lunch, dinner, and various other things. They expect me to he wearing my hearing aids all day even when im alone in my room. And any time i dont hear them theyre like "why weren't you wearing your hearing aids" and im just like "because im ALONE in my room listening to music and not talking to anyone. Why the fuck would i be wearing my hearing aids if im not talking to anyone". Honestly even if i was hearing i think just assuming i dont want to fucking eat because I didnt hear them call me is a little ridiculous.
I hate wearing my hearing aids for long stretches of time (2+ hours) because I get like hearing fatige(probably not the roght term) where im exhausted, irritable, and start having serious trouble understanding people/things. I just get like 100% over this exhausting hearing bullshit
Saying that, todaay I had my hearing aids on almost constantly from a little before 1pm to a little after 7pm. I just want silence at this point.
Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone k ow how to fix it.
