(oh it's very understandable if you're busy with other things, I enjoy whatever you have to offer and just being able to bounce ideas around - no pressure!)
I suppose a thought I find entertaining is if interaction with objects associated with certain family members could lead to an otherworldly connection being formed and someone being possessed by them
say, a certain cursed axe (in a similar vein to the Eyelander)
or, perhaps a conspicuous pair of bowler hats, should someone be unfortunate enough to try one on
This is a curious thought! I see some difference between an Eyelander and Headtaker, because in the case of the Horsemann, it's rather not the cursed axe itself, but the cursed owner of the axe, whose once ordinary axe was changed to fit him. But what or who changed it?
I presume that either 1) some mystical force that exists in this verse and affects the dead and related objects, or 2) someone who owns this force (probably the only necromancer known to us ā Merasmus).
I doubt that the spirits of Manns can really inhabit someone due to interaction with objects connected with them, but it is likely that they are able to exert some influence, for example, in the form of a sepulchral whisper telling what to do. This is an interesting opportunity to somehow connect with the living world.
