even the sun must know the dark side of the moon. @hdmolan
it's almost embarrassing at times how sebastian could find himself feeling overwhelmed at the slightest of changes, the smallest of things. this week was just the worst. it was the kind of days where he woke up feeling more exhausted than normal, and wanted to hide away forever, but he couldn't, not with practice or schedules looming over his head. he had the same dreams over and over again, and the present ache in his chest, not so pleasant at all, he missed his family, ached for it, while resenting his parents.
his phone was set to the side, he had found a secluded room that was probably used for vocal practice from the microphones and the speakers could ever even say, and he curled up on the floor, back pressed against the wall, his form huddled, trying to make himself as small as possible. he couldn't be so vulnerable in his own dorm room, it almost felt sacred, really, but in the back of his mind, he felt paranoid, a voice reminding him that anyone could come and find him like this, anyone could come and see him. maybe what he was missing was a kind soul willing to offer a shoulder and an ear to listen, but that was something he would never admit, something he forced away, not wanting to even acknowledge it. it was part of the problem. the crux of it really.
he took a shuddering breath and forced himself to calm down, his hands were shaking, he placed them on his thighs and breathed in slowly, and then out, counting his breaths. in the end, it'll always be okay, no matter what it was, he would be able to shake it off and get rid of it.
and though he had thought of the possibility, he hadn't thought of it actually happening- hearing the door unlock and open, he blinked a few times at the bright lights, looking up in surprise when he saw a female around his age step in, and he quickly rubbed at his red rimmed eyes, brushing any stray tears away, voice a bit rough from misuse, "sorry- i didn't think anyone reserved a time slot to practice today. i can leave, if you like."
