me earlier today: i know nobody is gonna interact with tramp but im in nostalgia mode right now and i love that fucking dog

of  course  he's  gone  and  gotten  himself  lost  somewhere  he's  unfamiliar  with  .      it's  dark  out  too  ,      which  he's  assuming  is  the  whole  issue  with  his  confusion  .      and  maybe  he  should've  set  up  camp  a  while  back  ,      before  the  sun  had  set  ,      but  if  he  hadn't  ,      he  wouldn't  have  the  chance  to  talk  to  this  stranger  .      just  great  .

romulan is quiet, but that's hardly anything new. maeve has always kept to herself - allowing others to draw their own conclusions about her, never seeing much point in correcting them when said answers are entirely wrong. cold instead of shy or reserved, secretive instead of simply not forthcoming. it was almost funny how humans could get so close to a true answer only to ruin it with their own perceptions of her.

they're always right about her smarts. the one part of her anyone can see clearly.

listen i ADORE polloucil!!! i think there's something very sweet and layered about their dynamic. cecil is a naturally jealous person, so i think pollou initially makes him a little jealous, but not in a possessive way. he sees what pollux and lou have together, and jealousy takes the form of wanting. wanting that type of trust, that gentleness, that love that brings out the best in each other. there's also a sense of safety in that kind of love that he admires and seeks out for himself.

cecil gains a new level of confidence as part of the trio. he feels secure once he's included in their dynamic, and that wanting fades away. he doubts himself less, he feels more worthy of love when it's something so freely given and welcomed. he can be emotionally vulnerable-- something that he was surprised came easier around pollux than he initially thought it would, considering cecil has issues being vulnerable with people in general-- but doesn't feel as much of a pressure to talk about things he's not ready to talk about.

above everything else, cecil is fiercely, fiercely protective of both of them. the three of them have all suffered losses, and cecil is terrified of any of them losing anything or anyone else. he's their biggest supporters, their biggest fans, the one to make them smile on days it doesn't feel possible. he's so in love with both of them, and they love him enough to make him believe he deserves it.
