#hbcuqueens introductions: Lauryn Janel Howard is Miss Edward Waters College! She is a native of Miami, FL with a Criminal Justice major and a concentration in Social Work. After college, she plans on working for the Department of Children and Families as a Child Protective Investigator as she works her way up. She then wants to work on the federal level in the FBI and travel around the world to help women and children in third world countries. Lauryn currently serves as the Chapter President of the Visionary Omicron Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is a leader off and on the court, while being a member of the Edward Waters College Women’s Volleyball Team. She also plans on opening up a shelter for troubled women and children. She believes in work and helping others which is why she decided to run for Miss Edward Waters College. Her hobbies include working for Delta with her Line sisters, playing volleyball, reading, interior decorating, and inspiring young people.
