What I was doing this past weekend...acting as "Postmistress" for "Middleton" (Civilian Town) at the Huntington Beach "Civil War Days". I had a lot of kids who came by and tried writing a letter with a pen that you dip in ink (and they even got to have an envelope with a reproduction stamp to go with with the letter). I even had a few internal (i.e. to other reenactors) letters that distributed from my "post office" (always fun).
