Idaho is trying to force transgender kids, teens, and adult athletes to a sex identification so “authorities” can know what sex someone was born at birth so they can be placed into “male’ or “female” teams according to that. This means transgender people will no longer be able to play on the team that they identify as.
This bill also eradicates intersex people who were force assigned a gender at birth by a doctor, but may not identify as that themselves.
The second bill states that transgender people will no longer be able to change their gender marker on their birth certificate !!! There are so many negative impacts from this.
These bills have been passes to the senate and this is the last shot we have to oppose them. These bills are wrong and dehumanizing.
The amount of people in my state who are suddenly shocked that the transphobic bill they support means THEIR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER might also have to be subject to "reproductive anatomy" exams in order to play sports is staggering. What did you think it meant???
