You settled your self down on Harryâs mattress, allowing the scent of his bedroom to fill you up. It was a sense of security, being surrounded by all the things that made him the man that you loved. You observed him as he bustled about the spacious room, shoes scuffling across the hardwood floor. He yanked off the plain white t-shirt he wore, rummaging through the closet for a different option. Spotting a magazine you began flipping through the glossy pages, eyes scanning the contents with indifference. âHey, love, which one?â Harry asked holding up two button-down shirts for you to choose from. You smiled up at him, eyes taking in the smooth surface of his tattoo adorned skin. You shifted your gaze between the two options, chewing your bottom lip as you thought. âUmm, I like the black one,â you said, giving him a reassuring nod. âBlack it is,â he hummed, flashing you a dimpled smile. Tossing the hanger to the end of the bed, he slipped his long arms through the shirtsleeves. He shuffled across the room, standing before the dresser as he carefully did each button. âAre you sure you wanna go out tonight?â you asked, moving to the edge of the bed. You studied his profile as he lifted a bottle of cologne from the top of the maple dresser, patting the musky scent along his skin. âYeah, why?â he asked, moving back to the opposite side of the room, and into the adjoining bathroom. Craning your neck, you caught his reflection in the mirror. He ran his hands through his messy brown curls, pushing the hair away from his forehead. You focused your gaze on your hands, kneading them together in your lap. The bed shifted beside you, as Harry sat down, placing a hand to your back. âIs everything okay, baby? You seem like youâve got something on your mind,â he said, tucking your hair behind your ear. You shrugged your narrow shoulders. âItâs justâ tomorrowâs your birthday,â you glanced up at him, âyour twentieth birthday,â you murmured. âYeahâŚ? Why does that bother you so much?â he asked, accent thick with confusion. You stood, pacing around the room. âI donât know. Because, youâre already older than me, and people already donât approve of us,â you whispered, keeping your eyes on the ground, as you shrugged once again. He crossed over to where you stood, tilting your chin up with his knuckle. âHey, look at me,â he breathed, âlisten. It doesnât matter what other people say. Age is nothing but a number.â He looped his arms around your waist, pulling you into a hug. âAll that matters, is that I love you,â he said, pressing a kiss to your forehead.  Â
