I have been thinking about this for the past 6 days and I still don’t have an answer. Like I was like “both is a copout! I should give them a thought out answer for why one means more to me than the other” and every time I started writing, I felt bad. I kept leaning for edrraylor because Harry, Ed, and Taylor are my three favorite musicians and they mean the most to me in music out of anyone else. But then I immediately felt bad for implying that Karlie’s contribution to my life was less than Ed’s. Because that legitimately isn’t true. In fact, I think Karlie affects my every day life more than Ed. Then I started writing that haylorie means more to me because the three of them have each taught me so much and inspire me to be a better person daily, and I immediately felt like I was saying Ed doesn’t inspire me to be better and he hasn’t taught me so much. Which legitimately isn’t true because Ed inspires me every day to chill the fuck out. There’s a time and place for hyping myself up, but at the end of the day, you need to just be you - just you - completely outside of the hype. If you let yourself define yourself through hype, whether imposed by others or imposed by yourself, you’ll become someone you don’t want to know.
