              How had you let this happen?

              You and Kevin had been friends since your awkward Boston College days, but at the time of meeting, you both had significant others. Sure the two of you flirted non-stop over the years, but it wasn't until last month after a drunken one night stand, that you guys had decided to give a relationship a go.

              Now here you were, pregnant.

              How did you tell him?

              You didn't.

              But you had to, didn't you?

              Did Kevin even want children?

              "Ugh" you said. You picked the test up and put it back in the box before sticking it in your purse. You'd get rid of the evidence later.

              "(Y/N)?" Kevin asked. You moved to the living room to greet your boyfriend.

              "Make yourself at home why don't you" you teased. "What do you want to do for lunch?"

              "Actually" he said, kissing your cheek. "The guys want to do a team lunch."

              "Oh ok" you said. "I have leftovers from-"

              "No" he laughed. "Like all of us. Families and all."

              "Oh." You looked down at your Rangers t-shirt and jeans. "Is it fancy should I change?"

              "Noooooo." He kissed you lightly. "You look perfect."

              "My hair is a disaster" you said, patting the offending hair down.

              "Perfect" he whispered. "Now, will you come?" You sighed and moved to grab your purse and shoes.

              "I guess so."

              You sat laughing next to Kevin.

              The lunch had been a rousing success. You had met, and passed, the girlfriend test as Kevin called it and really loved hanging with the boys and their wives.

              "So, (Y/N)" Emily Glass said. "How'd you meet Kev?"

              "Oh" you grinned at the back of Kevin's head as he was engrossed in a conversation with JT. "We met in college."

              "You went to BC too?" Lindsay asked. You nodded.

              "We became friends through mutual friends."

              "Not dating?" Therese asked.

              "No. We were both seeing other people actually." The girls laughed.

              "If you all will excuse me" Anna said standing. "I need to use the restroom."

              "Oh! I'll come with" you said. You bent down to pick up your purse at the same time Kevin turned to you, kicking over the bag. Your mouth opened in horror as the contents spilled out. Kevin's eyes landed on the pregnancy test as you hurried to gather everything back up. "Crap!" you hissed.

              "(Y/N)" Kevin said, grabbing the box and shaking out the test.

              "I can explain" you said.

              "You’re... pregnant?" he asked, matching the plus sign on the test to the results on the back. "(Y/N)?" Kevin's eyes snapped to you and you were acutely aware of everyone's eyes on you.

              "Yes" you whispered. Kevin looked at you in shock and you shifted uncomfortably.

              Slowly, a grin spread across his face and he jumped up, cheering.

              "I'm going to be a dad!" The rest of the team cheered and you were soon accepting hugs and congratulations from everyone. As everyone settled down, you looked at Kevin. He grabbed your chair and pulled it closer to his own, his mouth right by your ear.

              "I'm so happy" he whispered.

              "I was so nervous" you responded. He pressed a kiss to the space behind your ear.

              "I've loved you from the moment we met" he said. You grinned and leaned into him. You may have only been in a romantic relationship for a few weeks, but you had known Kevin for years.

              "Love you too."
