the hawkeye series really surprised me bc it was….good (the best disney+ marvel installment actually). the writing was cohesive. the big surprise (that wilson fisk was the big bad and kate’s mom was working for him) made sense rather than go for shock value, the final battle involved all the moving parts and was the right amount of climatic, there was emotional heart to the show, clint was given an actual layered personality and we weren’t asked to forgive him for his mistakes (rather they were a huge part of the plot), and natasha was practically another character for all she was mentioned / respected, and there was a surplus of details from the comics. color me shocked
