Am starting work on a long time idea of a math themed battle jacket.
Have started with decorating the collar, a mix of buttonhole and french knot stiches.
Next step is the main back panel's patch as it has the largest impact. Am using a plaid fabric that I harvested from an old piece of clothing, chose it to mimic the cartesian plane.

My latest patch I made of a tardigrade (aka water bear). I chose it for its ability to survive in the harshest of conditions and boy am I mimicking as much as i can.
I am also pretty happy with the border that I put on it. Leans a little closer to the art side than the punk side but the tardigrade deserves it, it goes through enough lol.
And here is another one that I am still working on. Its not for me so has a little bit of a different vibe than the other stuff that ive done before. Its for a friend that is a single mother, getting a bachelor degree, and recently ran in the state elections.
I tried very hard on the fancy text and I don't think it came out as well as I wanted but it is so far out of my comfort zone and it will do. When the paint dries i am going to cut it, fold the edge over and give it a pink embroidered border. my friend specifically requested bright pink for an elle woods vibe.
This is a bag I have just finished made for a friend that's fully just band patches. The patches themselves is made from scrap materials from hemmed clothing with some fabric paint, and I put it together on the sewing machine (those inner corners was way too hard for my skill set).
The friend and I both bounce music and vibes/alt identities off each other all the time so the raw edges and messy paint all add to the beauty of it. Though I did make sure those loops at the end are on the inside as well so it is reversible which hides all the raw edges for a bit of a different look (though the fabric paint bled through a little).

I am having a fairly good weekend, got the sewing machine out and am jumping between projects.
Put two of four darts into a pair of formal pants so I can wear something warmer at the office (minor injury had me jump ship)
Started and nearly finished a little drawstring bag for a friend. Working on making the drawstring today (am meeting said friend today) (i find it hard to gauge what they would like so I hope they like it regardless of the very visible, messy black on white thread)
And!! Worked on adding an extra panel to an old pair of skinny jeans so they fit more comfortable. It needs a little bit of tidying up and a hem but I think its my favourite so far. Adding the extra panels has made the front pockets go a bit funny but i think i could get away with either leaving it or putting a little dart into it.
