They totally keep the Lockbody Mantis. Stan names it Lokey (Stan: "Get it? Loki — LoKEY? 'Cause it has key arms?") and it causes them almost as much trouble as it saves them from.

Soap being afraid of dogs because of a childhood incident. An aggressive stray attacked him but his father quickly got it off him. This, of course, traumatized him and he's had issues with dogs since.
Years later, he admits this to Ghost, who rather nonchalantly, recounted the three different times he was attacked by a dog, the third time being a true mauling and he had almost lost his hand to it.
"You... you love dogs."
"Yes, because one bad dog isn't going to erase all the good ones."
Soap, admittedly, did not expect this. And it made him rethink his approach on dogs entirely, though he wasn't close to adopting one.
"You're scared of snakes," he recounted.
Ghost nodded, "Yes and no. More of I'm scared of the bad memories attached to them."
"Doesn't getting mauled by a dog not leave bad memories?"
"Those dogs acted on their own. The snakes did not."
Soap wanted to ask but he felt a part of him telling him to leave it be. He knew what Ghost was talking about, he didn't need to bring it up.
"Kyle is scared of clowns."
Soap snorted at the unexpected statement.
"Don't tell him I told you," Ghost chuckled.
"What's Capt'n scared of?"
Ghost thought for a moment before he nodded to himself, "A shave."

i went mostly on vibes but i did try to take the canon characters' arcs and personalities into account in a way that translated from doctoring to teaching
i'm thinking it will be a k-12 campus but the characters are mainly teaching high school and middle school
strap in this a long one hehehe
doctor michael robinavitch aka mister robby (he has a phd but he never insists on being called doctor unless his students are misbehaving) is a science teacher with certifications to teach multiple subjects but mainly teaches physics and chemistry. he WILL cackle maniacally when he makes something blow up (he also loves hands-on demonstrations). admin HATES him but he's the science department chair and he's tenured so they can't do shit lol. he also heads the stem club.
mister whitaker is a newbie teacher still finding his footing a la janine from abbott elementary and he teaches social studies (world religions and history and such). he's a big hit with the quieter kids because he's also shy and soft and nerdy. he is not very good at handling the more rambunctious/misbehaving kids. but he's charitable and kind and will buy shit with his own money, even lunch for kids who he sees going without. he starts a gardening club that only has a few members but they're very passionate about it (his classroom is FILLED with plants).
miss santos is the music/choir teacher who all the queer kids and outcasts LOVE so so so much. like. SO much. she is their safe space. she is open and honest and protective and is so passionate about her subject. she also heads the theatre club. she's been trying to start up a lgbtq+ club but has gotten a lot of kickback. she will keep trying tho. may or may not also coach gymnastics i havent decided yet.
miss mohan co-runs the stem club with robby and she's always BEGGING female students to join ("come on girls WOMEN IN STEM"). she teaches math (mostly statistics and calculus). and she's kind of a tough grader but offers intensive after school tutoring (with homemade snacks) and stays as late as needed and will do anything to help her students succeed. like she gives so much extra credit. SO MUCH. she gets legit depressed if a kid doesn't do the work because she can't help their grade at all if they don't do anything. she's begging these kids to just please turn the worksheets in even if it's all wrong it will hurt your grade less than a zero PLEASE.
mister langdon is a middle school math teacher (so mostly algebra) who coaches a sports team (track and field maybe?). yes, when he came back from rehab and the rumors circulated, the students started calling him walter white. and yes, he thinks this is funny. also i'm sorry langdon stans but i know this man would be the type of teacher to favor the popular athletic kids and entirely forget the names of the quieter kids. it's just a truth of life i'm sorry. he would for sure agree to races/one on one basketball games from the student athletes and go way too hard and roast them like crazy. but they love it so it's cool ig.
miss king, who asks her students to call her mel, is a history and literature teacher. she also teaches the creative writing class. she has costumes that she will put on and definitely plays clips of musicals like hamilton or six when they pertain to the lessons. she decorates her room for ALL holidays. even the little ones like arbor day. and of course she has a basket of fidget toys for the students to use (you will also periodically find her using them).
miss mckay is the middle school biology teacher and coaches the softball team. you'll often see her son hanging out in her room even though she should definitely be telling him to go back to class.
miss victoria is a teacher's aid whose parents both work at the school, and half of the teachers there taught her only a few years ago. due to a piss poor budget, though, instead of actually working as an aid, she's usually subbing for other classes. she's working while finishing college (because the school is helping her pay as long as she's employed there) but she has yet to decide what she actually wants to do with her future.
coach abbot is one of three gym teachers. he also coaches the tennis team. he is a very intense teacher who actually has highly structured class periods/workouts. he also does full fledged lectures about nutrition and how to stay healthy and be in shape. he rarely lets the kids have an easy day. but he's not a jerk or hardass by any means. he likes to have fun (his favorite joke is to freak out new students by removing his prosthesis and handing it over as the bathroom pass). he will go absolutely fucking ham if he gets wind of any bullying tho. that's where the slight drill sergeant-esque reputation comes from. he will NOT tolerate fatphobia or ableism or any of that shit. he also majorly hypes up the cheer team ("when YOU do a triple back flip and land on someone's hands ten feet in the air then you can talk about what a real sport is").
coach shen is another gym teacher. for the sole purpose of getting to wear sweats to work 5 days a week. he's generally the most desirable of the three gym teachers bc he lets kids do laps/play bullshit basketball or volleyball or whatever while he sips on dunkin on the treadmill in the corner to observe. people who sit on the bleachers all period still get C's ("because failing kids for not participating is lame"). he coaches the golf team.
coach ellis is the third and final gym teacher. she coaches the girl's lacrosse team. she's a fairly even mix of abbot's structured and shen's laid back methods. she's a no-nonsense kind of teacher/coach though. no pain no gain kind of attitude. she expects a lot from everyone and doesn't take kindly to slackers.
mister henderson teaches the computer classes and runs the av/media club. he bought a sick ass 3d printer for his room he sometimes lets the more responsible seniors use. he is also part of the stem club as the technology mentor. might also be in charge of the yearbook due to his graphic design passion skills.
miss toomarian is the art teacher who runs YOU GUESSED IT the art club. she's pretty chill and lets students pick pretty much any medium to complete projects (at least in the higher level classes). she also has a program for her students to go to the preschool rooms to teach art to the little kids.
missus evans is the kickass mama bear health teacher. sex ed is her pride and joy. she always has free condoms and period products to take. she pulls no punches teaching this shit. everyone sits and learns about menstruation (yes, boys too) and healthy sex and relationships and self exams for cancer and drugs and alcohol and all that. she sometimes gets shit from parents for being so honest and forward about "inappropriate" topics but she does NOT give a fuck. she's who everyone (students and staff tbh) goes to when they're having serious or embarrassing problems bc she won't judge she'll just help.
miss emma is a teacher's aid who, just like victoria, often ends up simply subbing instead of doing her actual job. her goal is to eventually become an elementary level teacher, but for now she's technically dana's aid.
doctor garcia (another phd haver but unlike robby she always insists on the use of her correct title) is the anatomy and ap bio teacher. she has a reputation of being a hardass mostly because she do NOT gaf if someone faints or gags at dissections. absolutely tells them "grow up or get out" at that point. she's another tough grader too. she's mean as hell but she's fair. no favorites in this class. and the students are always surprised when they see her laughing and goofing around with other teachers because like "dr garcia can smile? wtf??" but all the mentally ill girls have crushes on her. WHO SAID THAT???
and last but not least... just for fun...
duke ekins the autoshop teacher.
i might make a part two with non-teacher staff/anybody i missed if anybody wants it
