I wish I had more money! My husband works for the state and has a good job, but we still struggle every week to put food on the table. We are in a lot of debt and it sucks. But you know what, we have a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs and food in our tummies. Yes we get assistance, and I am not ashamed to admit it. We receive WIC to help feed our son. After taxes, rent, bills and student loans and medical bills, we barely scrape by. I hear a lot "just go get a job." But I challenge those people by saying how? We have no family, we can't afford babysitters or daycare and we share our one vehicle. I am sure it is possible to get a job and work for a small paycheck, but if it's so small, is it worth using all that money to go toward the cost of childcare? We do what we can and we take care of what we have. Of coarse life would be easier if we had more money. But to those rude and judgmental people at the grocery store who stare me down when I use my WIC checks, I only can shake my head at you. You do not know the daily or weekly struggles my family endures. The pain and pride I swallow to just pull out those checks that allow me to feed both my son and my husband. Do not judge what you do not know. And as far as those who say that I shouldn't have children if I can't afford them well shame on you! Because I have wages garnished for student loans and medical bills I shouldn't be allowed to reproduce? That's just mean! I do not lack the love that is necessary to have children. I just at this point lack the financial means. I went to college and I am well educated. I came from a respectful family but they passed away. I was homeless and all alone, but now have so much to be grateful for. Now swallow your stereotypes and know that I am a person. I am a mother. I am a wife. And to be frank, I can't wait to have another child! I will not let the publics opinion of my financial situation influence whether or not to have more children. You do not know the struggles of each and everyone. So lady who shakes your head at someone with WIC checks, shame on you!

I’m back on for a hot minute let me know what’s up with you all…looks like I might have to take a semester off of training tell student loans kick in :-/ super sad face…. Any ideas to stay in shape while out of the gym I’m already taking a weigh lifting class this semester to boost my strength for when I get back in the gym…I’ve also been working agility drills. Any thoughts???
