Most of the hate crime trends who analysts have said about it around the world are a reflection of political changes, and through the social media, disputes are amplified, the rumors which spread through social media also play a major role in spreading sedition that led to executions and race disputes.

The response to this problem was not equitable, and some companies became the ones to monitor and control these platforms which that most of the world's population are communicating on it now.

Journalists and journalism face a great challenge today, as these letters have caused annoyed to some journalists who are interested in societal issues because of the rapid spread of messages that contain content full of hate, and they are sometimes trying to find a solution to these messages

How was the hate speech used against the Corona Virus?

Many countries have accused China and the Chinese and blaming them because of the Corona virus "Covid 19", which they considered it a Chinese virus due to its first appearance in the Wuhan city in China, especially those countries that could not contain this virus.

The view of people towards Asian people, especially Chinese people, has become hostile, and many hashtags have spread via Twitter, which expresses about their displeasure with China and the Chinese population, and considered this virus is a Chinese weapon to bring down the economy of some of its competitors, in spite of its spread in most countries of the world, whether they are countries Advanced or developing.

There are many types of content or speech intended for the public through the media, including meaningful and useful speech, fun and entertaining speech, negative or hate speech.

We can see many types of attacks that are used by some accounts or channels that display various media contents, as they sometimes attack a specific country or incite against a specific ideology, a certain sect, or even a social class, in order to make the audiences of this account or channel bias against that group and take them The nature of hatred and .

In such cases, regardless of circumstances and events, such as the spread of diseases, wars or viruses, the content that promotes hatred abounds, especially when the spread of deadly and powerful viruses, as those who write or present the content incite hatred against a state or social group, which may be no guilt The state has it, but people sometimes follow and implement all that is published.

Example:

Now there is a wave of anger and hatred by many accounts or people against China, believing that it is the cause of the spread of the Covid 19 virus, but the truth has not been clarified until now, because it may be unintentional, as some have begun to point out that accountability must be held China is imposing sanctions on it because of what is happening in the world, and this may be a kind of incitement to hatred.

1- How to identify hate speech in media content?

We can identify the hate speech as anything attack someone or group or calls for violence against them or bothering them by comments, memes ,groups or using words likely to excite hostility or bring into contempt any groups,for example:

 " I hate all Muslims"

 President Donald Trump has often labeled the coronavirus as the “Chinese virus.” which resulted in xenophobia.-     

A video on Sky news Australia titled "China willfully inflicted coronavirus upon the world."

A lot of people are using racist hashtags such as #Kungflu, #chinesevirus and #communistvirus as they tweet about the pandemic.

Republican senator John Cornyn (a political person) said in a conversation with reporters “China is to blame because the culture where people eat bats and snakes and dogs and things like that,” ,  “These viruses are transmitted from the animal to the people, and that’s why China has been the source of a lot of these viruses like SARS, like MERS, the swine flu, and now the coronavirus.”

2- Is it free speech or hate speech that is practiced?

It is not a free speech as a lot of people think because free speech when you criticize any information or other's opinion without harming them by the deferent ways,  for example:

When someone don't agree with you or he think the idea is wrong will try to give you the evidence or reasons ,without any bad words or bothering.

 Sometimes comes for political goals.

 It effects in people's behaviors as we can see it in social media now a days against china and how Chinese suffering in most of countries especially in America.

 It is one of main reasons of soft wars, hate crimes, fake news, suicide and other human's problems.

It affects mental health

It spread so much in twitter and face book and both of them have the report button so we have to teach each other the suitable time of using it, as one of ways to reduce this problem.
