i won’t mention the muse nor fandom this person belonged to, but back when i was young and stupid on my original eric account, there was this popular rper who was…well, a dick. very rude, vagueblogged constantly, and when called out on bad behavior, they would gaslight the person calling them out, and fake a panic attack on the dash (you know, the kind where they post shit like “i caaan;t bresth ths is aful” and the like? where its spelled JUST correctly enough to convey they are, in fact, panicking? yeah, that.) i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt (and, again, i was young and stupid and bought into them being the victim) but the second i started trying to interact, they sent me anon hate insulting my age and how i interpreted my muse. and i knew it was them because they’d post the same shit on the dash, just vaguer (i.e., i’d get hate for making eric ace, then they’d IMMEDIATELY post on the dash about special ace snowflakes ruining her favorite characters. like, hello? you ain’t slick.) eventually, i unfollowed them, and a few years later, a callout post against them started floating around with over a hundred different people sharing their experiences with them. i haven’t seen nor heard from them in years, and i’m thankful for that.
