There are very few kidlit fans who haven't heard of author Harry Allard or beloved author/illustrator James Marshall. So you know you're in for a treat when they collaborate! 📙 "I Will Not Go To Market Today" (1979) is exactly that: a sweet, silly, highly amusing story about Fenimore B. Buttercrunch the chicken, and all of the ways his planned trip to market get foiled.
