Y/n had been staying with Harry for about close to two weeks now. An they were both surprised at how well they got along. They had fallen into a routine and to say Harry was beyond happy was a understatement, well mostly because as much as he loved having her in his home, spending time with her, he was dying to touch her, kiss her, an hug her. But he knew he couldn’t rush into it.

He knew y/n needed time to heal from the betrayal she had suffered from not just one but two of the people she was closest to in her life. Harry can hear her cry at night when she thinks he is asleep, she’s not expecting him to hear her sobs as she cries into her pillow to avoid making any sound. These are the times Harry curses his amplified hearing. He fights the urge to go to his little human mate and wrap her in his arms and hold her all night, it’s part of being a soulmate. When her heart is breaking he can feel his breaking right along with her, but they break for different reasons. He wants nothing more then to see his pretty little girl lay her head down at night with dry eyes and a heart and soul that knows it’s loved.

The nights have been hardest on y/n, when she lays alone at night and has time to let her brain repay the awful memories of that night. She doesn’t know why this keeps happening. Y/n feels happy during the day and she really enjoys the time her and Harry spend together, and if she is being honest she doesn’t want her ex back, she’s hurt by what they did but she feels like it is a loneliness that wraps around her at night, and it grips her making her feel so utterly alone.

Harry waits each night for y/n’s breathing to even out, then he slips out to one of the nearby blood bars to eat. Before y/n he went to eat and find someone to fuck.

He decides to have a seat at the bar tonight, he normally drinks and leaves but tonight he wants to stay for a while and just relax without the constant pull to go to his mate he resists every night. It is becoming harder each night the pull getting stronger and more insistent.

Harry takes in a long breath feeling not so suffocated in y/n’s sweet intoxicating smell. Just thinking about it makes him him let out a low groan. He was just starting his second drink when he heard a familiar voice call his name while walking up to him. He doesn’t turn around, just sighs and regrets his decision to stay and have a few drinks.

“Harry, I know you hear me darling, it’s not like you to be rude.” The beautiful vampire says as she takes the seat next to him, but not before moving it over next to Harry’s close enough so their thighs are touching. He was unenthusiastic as he slowly turned his head to look at her. She was beautiful striking topaz colored eyes, long raven black hair and her figure, well you could say it was literally to die for.

“Reagan.” Harry says giving her a small nod of acknowledgment. “Nice to see you again.” She scowls at him “If I didn’t know better I would think you are not happy to see me.” She laughs. “But we both know that can’t be true right? because the last time I saw you we were fucking for 2 days straight.” Her statement made him shiver but unfortunately she took his visible shiver as a sigh of him remembering there days of passion, but unbeknownst to her it was repulsion. Reagan puts a hand on his thigh and before she can start to move it up to grip his cock it is grasped harshly and pulled away. The only reason you are here alone tonight is because you were careless taking your human mate to vampire night club in a fucking country you had never been to with not another single vampire you knew and then walked away from him for whatever your reason was.” She starts to interrupt him. “ Don’t I don’t care for your reason or excuses the bottom line is your mate is dead because of your negligence so you thought you could track me down and convince me that I was your mate. You disrespect your fallen mate, yourself and me with your your childish games.” He started walking out the door. “Your wrong Harry! You’ll see your mine and I’m yours.” Shaking his head “Have a nice eternity Reagan.” As he disappears into the night.

Reagan is seething “oh you’ll see me again Harry, I can smell your little human whore’s scent all over you, it will be easy to track her down and dispose of the weak little human.” A wicked grin on her face Reagan knows what she has to do .

(Harry’s POV)

He was back within two hours, when he entered his apartment he listened to see if you were up, secure in knowing you were still sleeping he walked to the bedroom and stood in the doorway. He saw your eyes were still red an puffy, he sighed the thought of you hurting, of your heartbreaking pained him. The thought of you hurting over that jackass Justin made him mad, what a stupid boy he had the sweetest, loveliest and by far prettiest girl an he threw her away. Harry knows that your heart is cracked twice as bad being betrayed by not just your boyfriend but your supposed best friend. Harry wonders if he should be honest with you when you get up. Should he let you know that this was not the first time they were together, that they have seeing each other almost daily. Not the complete bullshit they were trying to feed you about her boyfriend cheating and her coming to find comfort in you. His amplified hearing had him picking up on their deceit about four or five months ago. He knew her boyfriend found out about her and Justin a couple months back and dumped her then. (Harry always wonders why that guy never reached out to you to let you know what your significant others had been doing together.)
