It had been nine years since Gwen Stacy had been in New York. It was an odd, reliving familiarity. A lot happened in nine years. A marriage and divorce. At least, that's how Gwen liked to think of it.

Nine years ago, Gwen left her Hometown of New York. Married, two years later being blessed with a daughter. All seemed to be well for Gwen Neumen. Though, when her husband, Aaron's Neumen drinking got a bit too far the family began to collapse. He missed a lot of events, hardly spending time with either his wife or daughter. Becoming abusive them. The girls endured for a couple of years, death threats if they went to the cops or told anyone. Gwen couldn't take it anymore, secretly gathering evidence, she would not let herself, most of all her fragile daughter get hurt any longer. How did Gwen let this happen? Why? How did she let herself marry him? Was she really in love with him? Did she let it all happen too quickly? Where did she go wrong?

Then the storm came, the storm, if anything was a blessing. The storm that took Aaron Neumen's life. It was the best thing that happened to her since the birth of Sarah Neumen. After all was settled there, Gwen took everything she had left and returned to New York. Oscorp was in need of Biochemists, and Gwen got the job.

Settled into a new home, an apartment instead of a house, but it was far better than the house back in the South. The place reminded Gwen of her home growing up.

Peter couldn't believe his eyes. That was definitely his Harry across the street. But.. He looked so civilized, like he had his whole life together. Or that it was slowly piecing up. It made Peter feel like he was a little boy. Here he was, running around in spandex at night and taking pictures of himself just to earn some money for him and Gwen. And here Harry was, looking as if he were twenty-five. Peter ran a hand through his hair and walked across the street when the pedestrian light went on before walking towards Harry.
