I can't remember if I ever told tumblr here, but! I have been re-doing the rig for this guy. For a preeeeettty ambitious fan-animated TSP project.
He's been a pain to re-build, just because I'm cleaning up past me's mistakes from years ago, pfft. (And I have learned waaaay too much since then anyhow!) But all considered, it's still coming along swiftly. I have to still turn him and add master controllers, but he is coming along fast!
After that I'll have to finish the storyboard for said animation, sigh... but that shouldn't take as long, haha!
Derek's rig is complete! Took a good month of whatever free time I had but I'm glad these three views are done. I only stuck with the front and 3qt views for the sake of the animation. Maybe in the future I'll make a full turnaround. I was a bit lazy with the actual turnaround drawing but I did some on the spot fixes in Harmony. I think the hardest part of the rig was figuring out how complex I should make it. He's got a lot of deformers on him but I had a few thoughts of making more Honestly had a fun time rigging my boy out. He's as ready as he's gonna get. Now onto actually animating!
