I'm guessing it was Thranduil himself who gave his sons their first sexual partners when they came of age, with Gwend's permission of course. Is this considered headcanon? I'm hoping it is so.
He certainly tried to point them all in the right direction,with Gwend’s help. But it’s the old adage of you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. He could certainly push them towards partners who would be receptive to them, but he couldn’t and wouldn’t force anyone to do anything they didn’t want to. Both his sons and their partners. The older sons all have very different approaches to romance.Â
Legolas, as the Prince and heir, has certain standards he’s expected to follow. It’s trickier for him as he can never be certain if an elleth sees him for himself or just his title. And that’s if he can find one who isn’t all googly-eyed over his father. He takes his time and it’s served him quite well thus far. He’s had a few and they’ve all parted company amicably.
Thangonnas is the horse that won’t stop drinking. He has all of Thranduil’s charm and magnetism, not to mention the sex drive, and it’s serving him quite well at the moment. That doesn’t mean it won’t come back to bite him in the ass.
Feredir likes to follow the same standards as Legolas. He’s cautious, slow-paced and does everything properly. His sexual encounters are limited to say the least though, due to Thangonnas’ interference.
why doesn’t Thranduil want his ladies to interact with other males ?
The short answer is he used to. And he got burned for it (figuratively). After that, it was part of the agreement before any ladies joined the Harem, no flirtatious or sexual relations with other males.
This will be dealt with in a future chapter of Harem, I promise.
can you tell us more about mae joining the harem ?
Mae is by far and away the youngest of the harem (except of course, Dalla). She is only two hundred years old and this caused some conflict between Thranduil and Gwend, who felt he was far too old for her.
However she has since come to appreciate the fact that Mae reignited the spark of youth in Thranduil who had begun to feel his years in a way. Mae is by far the most fun of the ladies to be around, although she is somewhat hampered at the moment, being pregnant and all.

I'm picturing Menelya's first tryst with Thranduil was when he asked for a massage due to being atop his elk for their travel then things got heated up on his bed with him ending up taking her maidenhood. Just my thoughts, I hope that'll be included as a headcanon for her ♥️

She was probably nervous and new to the job but he would have been kind and reassured her. Now it is one of her fondest memories. Sadly we won’t see a true Thranduil/Menelya tryst, she’s already served him that way for the last time, before the story even began. There’s someone else who has caught her eye. You’ll just have to wait to find out who...
headcanons on Inariel, Finnel and Vinga ?
Ok nonny, I had to wrack my brain to think of more head canons that won’t be spoilers!
Inariel: She was always a tomboy growing up. Her father nicknamed her Raegiel (false daughter), joking he should have had a son.
Finnel: Finnel actually taught herself to read. Her parents believed she should be seen and not heard, and reading was a way to be both present and not at the same time.
Vinga: Vinga speaks several languages, including a decent amount of Black Speech.
