I have a question that I would like a veteran PC gamer to answer. Is it easy to play PC games? Meaning are the controls easy and simple to use? As easy as a console controller? I know you can plug a console controller into a PC but if I was to go to PC to play my games, I would like the full experience of playing it with the keyboard.
Would I find it accessible and comfortable as a console gamer? And I play on all 3 of the latest gen consoles, so I wouldn’t like to have the same experience on a PC.
I have a MacBook Air already but it’s not good for gaming. At least not high-intensity gaming. I could get a Steam Machine but I’m not too happy about Steam being digital-only even if it is more consumer-friendly at that £1000 price point. What I WANT ideally is a PC hardware build like Acer or Alienware running on Linux rather than Windows or MacOS that can handle gaming of any sort. Be it AAA singer-player or live multiplayer.
If I was to take the plunge and buy an expensive PC build it would be strictly for playing and storing games. Nothing else. I have my MacBook Air for everything else. I am the type of person that only likes a piece of hardware to do one thing and do that one thing well.
I don’t like hardware that does multiple things at once even though I like versatility and innovation. It’s why I love the Nintendo Switch 2 so much and most Nintendo hardware going as far back as the Nintendo GameCube.
Everybody else was making it possible for DVDs and CDs to work on the damn thing and I didn’t like that.
If I buy a GAMING console I only want it to do games.
So if I want to buy a high-end gaming PC build, it would literally be only for that purpose. What are my options?
