Make your own mouthwatering Mushroom and Swiss Burger at home with this copycat recipe inspired by Hardee's. Juicy beef patty, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and a savory sauce make this burger a must-try.
Ingredients: 1/2 pound ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 slices Swiss cheese. 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/4 cup diced onions. 2 hamburger buns. 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon butter. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon olive oil. Lettuce and tomato for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form them into burger patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt. While the burgers are cooking, heat the olive oil and butter in a separate pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, sliced mushrooms, and diced onions. Saut until the mushrooms are browned and the onions are tender, about 5 minutes. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create a sauce. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, spread the Dijon mayo sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a tomato slice. Place a burger patty with melted Swiss cheese on top of the tomato slice. Spoon the sauted mushrooms and onions over the burger patty. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious Copycat Hardee's Mushroom and Swiss Burger!
