Old photographs, They will turn grey The way your beautiful mind Will soon forget moments of awe.

Rivers, they will run dry; A sign of drought The way your skin Will break; a sign of age.

You see, everything is ephemeral, my love We will soon forget The songs that made us feel, Even the words of love we wrote.
