Getting a video back to a video you've sent without having to ask for it is such a nice feeling! Feeling very spoiled ✨🫠

I started teaching a friend of mine how to sew yesterday. She learned some hand sewing back in high school, but it's been years and she hasn't ever learned how to use a sewing machine. I taught her a straight stitch and a rolled hem and she was SO proud of herself (I also taught her how to thread a machine and what the buttons and knobs do because at its heart, no matter what I teach, my pedagogy revolves around making people able to do things independently). It really reminded me why I love teaching. Next time we're gonna talk about fabric types and reading a pattern.
