Today I discovered Puppy Linux! And it got me a bit excited. Which is really something when you’re dead inside. Basically it’s this amazingly tinyyyy operating system, that works completely off RAM whaaaa? I had to try it, so here you see it (if you can even call that a pic) on my laptop. I have a little experience with Lubuntu which is incredibly lightweight and brings old computers back to life, but this is something different!! RAM ONLY I TELL YOU. This means it can be used with no hard drive whatsoever. Or if your hard drive got fried or something. Absolutely perfect for file recovery. So when Windows *spits* dies on you, this is the baby to salvage your stuff.

And it is of course free. F@#$ Microsoft. F@#$ Apple. Why should anyone have to pay for an operating system? Or any applications at all? I don’t know the first thing about computers yet I use Ubuntu only. Because it’s that easy, it’s really user friendly. It’s better, faster, safer, prettier, and of course free. Plus you have this wonderful community who will not rest until they find a fix for any problem you might face. Faith in humanity = restored.

Taking on the challenge my way

You can sign up here if you are so inclined. Basically, you’re supposed to post a pic a day of what made you happy that day. I’m all about the little things (QUEEN of The Little Things) so you can see the appeal it holds for me. However, I can’t do it. I can’t do what they want. If I sign up for 100 pics I know for a fact I will be joining the 71% of people who fail to complete the challenge.

Why so visual? If I stick to pics I’m setting myself up for failure. So mine will be more like the Gratitude Journal I once (or twice) attempted, where I just listed three (or was it five?) (memory like a thingymajigger) things I was grateful for that day. BECAUSE HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TAKE A FLAMING PICTURE EVERY SINGLE DAY WHEN NOT EVERYTHING IS SO TANGIBLE? What if I have a nice nap in the afternoon? Or a good night’s sleep, with no nightmares? What am I supposed to do, snap a pic of my bed?

What if more than one good thing happened that day, or I just want to share 10 pics of the same one damn thing that made me smile?

What if the moment passes before I get a chance to grab a camera? Like when [Battah] Simpson (traumatised kitteh) flopped up against me and purred her little head off?

And what if I’d just rather live the moment than scramble to capture it?

ALSO I’m very big on radio drama/comedy and voices and shit. Yes. Oh yes. It makes me happy. So expect some sound clips.

That’s why I’m doing this on Tumblr - so I can post pics, gifs, audios, and videos :)

A L S O if you know me you know that I can’t say something in one line if I can spread it over three pages. That pretty much rules out Twitter so *shrug*

Might switch to email for more privacy, I’ll see how it goes. But then the world should be deprived of the breathtaking thrill that is my exhilarating life between four walls!!!!
