So, is it like his story is set up in Space Oddity (and he tries to kill himself in the middle) and Ashes to Ashes is when he’s dying and confused? Like “I’m happy, hope you’re happy, too” is sort of him saying that he’s going to a better place and she should let him go so he’s not miserable anymore. Or is the whole of Ashes to Ashes a suicide note and his wife finds it after he’s actually managed to kill himself?
