What’s the detail you wait on bated breath for readers to notice?

Oh, this one’s easy xD Spoilers for my Avatar Zuko series: in the fourth book, Zuko’s cousin Lu Ten falls in love with this beautiful musician Hanxin. Their symbiotic pet names are fire lily (Lu Ten) and rain (Hanxin), b/c Lu Ten is a hopeless romantic like that. 

The war conspires against them and they’re separated, each believing that the other is dead. Hanxin goes home to the Fire Nation, and while mourning for his love, he changes his name to Hanyu （寒雨, ‘cold/bitter rain’). It is by this name that he introduces himself to Zuko when they meet by chance. At first, it’s not completely apparent who he is, but I mean, if you’ve signed on to read a 490,000 word series, I kind of expect that you have the resolve to do some critical thinking. So I love it every time I get a comment along the lines of ‘oMG i’m CRYING hanxin changed his name to hanyu bitter rain b/c he’s so EMO about his boyfriend’s death :’’’’’(’ I don’t really wait with bated breath, though, b/c it’s been a couple years since I wrote that particular chapter, and I’d be dead if I held my breath that long xD
