But Hantheer do have pets. Mostly they have really big dogs like what we’d call German Shepherds, sled dog breeds, and St. Bernards (although I love the image of a 8 ft tall Hantheer with a chihuahua), partially because they have herds that need bigger dogs and partially because mountains/steppe climate, so big floofs do well. While I imagine there are cats in Fahla’surni from previous World Walkers bringing them over, it’s not as common because house cats aren’t entirely practical and when you have limited livestock to import, you pick the ones that will be most helpful. If there are, they’re those super floof ones from Scandinavia, I can’t remember the name, because again, it can get kinda cold.

So, kinda just preference. They can match, but they don’t have to. It’s not a “pet looks like the owner” requirement.

Many of our records before the World Walkers though were lost. Demons invaded Fahla’surni, and the Elders, along with their oral records, were lost to time. Much of what was left was only myths and legends, nothing that was enough for definite history and we’ve spent centuries trying to reclaim those pieces.

Longer than the World Walkers have been around. I’m not sure there is a particular date that it can be traced back to, but it has been a part of my people for a long time.

No, they do not. Both races are still majority humanoid as we’d call it, so it’s mostly just the few features that are outward similarities. Most of the commonalities are more in abilities, like heightened senses, better vision, and naturally more responsive anatomy. But they are more “human” than beastman in design.

Eh, authorial preference. I wanted them both to be “elf-like” while still having their own respective twists. So, nothing too far gone from the image of elves, but enough that it’s unique to the setting.

Harts and Hantheer have one type of antler, the slender type elk have. Harts do have a wide variety of colors their coats come in, but I’m afraid the anatomy is all very similar on our one plane.
