HanSo Cafe
HanSo Cafe is located in Malasaña. You will find it on Calle de Pez with other hipster restaurants. You may not even spot it if you’re not paying attention. There isn’t a huge sign so I almost walked right pass it! I had no idea that HanSo Cafe was an Asian cafe that offered high quality coffee, food, and homemade desserts! They use high quality beans and you could tell that the barristas are proud of what they serve.
Every single seat was taken and people were studying, reading, and hanging out with friends. There is free wifi so it’s a great place to study for an exam or catch up on some emails. The decor is very modern and cute. I love how they open their windows/doors so you can use the ledge to sit on.
Since I have never had a red velvet latte, I had to try it! There is no sweeter added and the barrista said it was made with cocoa and milk. It had the right amount of cocoa and the red color definitely reminded me of red velvet cake. Can’t wait to try their other espresso and matcha green tea drinks!
Of course I had to try their Asian desserts. I am a sucker any type of Asian flavored dessert. I ordered the black sesame cake. It was so light and fluffy with the right amount of cream in between the cake layers. It wasn’t too sweet and had the perfect black sesame flavor. I will definitely be back to try their taro and green matcha cakes.
