Whisper looked at the very exictable human in confusion, then at the Yo-kai that claimed to be his brother.
“Is this…really me when I was alive?”
Hansha, the other Yo-kai, nodded and smiled as tears started to form.
“Yep. You were very exictable when it came to Yo-kai. Of course, when I was alive, I didn’t have the same abilities as you, even though I was your twin brother.”
Whisper found it hard to believe. He had a twin brother…he was able to see and communicate with Yo-kai when he was alive…
“Funny enough, when you were alive, a lot of people thought that you were half Yo-kai. Of course, you didn’t make it any easier to prove them wrong. You would always close your brown eye and stare at people with your gray eye like you were about to curse them or something, not to mention that you would always come to the defense of any Yo-kai you were convinced were being falsely accused. From what you told me, you were quite popular with some Yo-kai after defending them.”
I was popular with Yo-kai when I was alive? That has to be a joke…right?
Hansha looked at Whisper, hoping for some sort of reaction that indicated that he was starting to remember something from his past. He fiddled with the ribbon on his wrist, the only physical thing he had to remember his brother Toshiyuki by as he saw something on his brother’s face, but it wasn’t rememberance…it was pure sadness.
“I wish…I wish I was able to remember anything at all from my past life…if this really was me…I want my memories back…”
Hansha placed his hand on Whisper’s shoulder and said,
“I promise I will help you find the cause of your memory loss and get those memories back to you. It’s a Takaburi Brother promise.”
Whisper teared up and smiled. Even if he didn’t remember anything about Hansha…just the thought of having someone close enough for him to be considered a brother made him feel good.
“Yeah…a Takaburi Brother promise…”
